یک کارآگاه تازه‌کار تلاش است معمای قتلی را در مکانی پرت روایت می‌کند. «داربی هارت» کارآگاه تازه‌کاری است که به همراه ۱۱ مهمان دیگر توسط یک میلیاردر دعوت شده‌اند تا در جایی دورافتاده گرد هم جمع شوند. وقتی جسد بی‌جان یکی از مهمانان کشف می‌شود، داربی باید پیش از آنکه قاتل جان فرد دیگری را بگیرد به حقیقت پی ببرد.
